On June 7th, 2007 formally began the Environmental Management System based on norm ISO 14001:2004 in the Containers Terminal of Yucatan, with the purpose of assuring that the operations carried on at the terminal would not impact the environment surrounding the company.

After a few months passed by of working with the system, on November 15th, 16th and 17th 2007 an initial Audit was carried out for the certification, by the company EQA Certifications of Mexico with the purpose of verifying the correct implementation of the Environmental Management System in TCY.

As a result of the Audit no findings were found and the system capacity was made evident without needing any corrective actions. This means that the Containers Terminal is formally Certified in ISO 14001:2004 and received the corresponding Certificate of Conformity No. 7713 issued by the European Quality Assurance Limited on 24/01/2008 and was endorsed by in a ceremony carried out in the API Progreso facilities last February 8th, 2008, as seen in the annexed photos.

With these actions, we confirm the commitment of TCY with the Environmental preservation and we fulfill the requirements set in a contract subscribed between API and TCY.
